This Work Needs Leaders Who Take Action

The Minnesota Construction Mental Health Alliance was created for leaders — those who can shape policy, set industry expectations, and influence change at the highest levels.

Now, we’re calling on more leaders to step in — lending their influence, visibility, and resources to drive change that lasts.

Progress to Date

In less than two years, the Alliance has:

  • Built a statewide coalition of leaders across construction, labor, ownership, and government.

  • Developed and published The Commitment, creating a shared standard for leadership accountability.

  • Launched the official Alliance website — constructionmentalhealthmn.org — to centralize communications and amplify partner leadership.

  • Coordinated the Governor’s Proclamation of Construction Mental Health Day in Minnesota (December 3, 2024).

  • Begun shaping a multi-year policy and procedural agenda to integrate mental health into industry-wide safety requirements.

  • Organized the Mayo Clinic Action Planning Event (September 11, 2025) to finalize coordinated actions for statewide adoption.
